Rock 103 Ronald McDonald House of Memphis annual radiothon, Feb 11 -12, 2010. Jimi Jamison (former lead singer of Target & Survivor) scheduled to sing "House That Love Built" live on the radio about 5pm central standard time. Can listen live on the internet if out of the Memphis area. The song was written by me, inspired by a letter read during the radiothon in 2007. Download the song for $1.00 at

R&D Blended was short-lived. The band members are the same, but the name was changed to Six Degrees. This band will play covers and originals, depending on the event. We played an unplugged set at Memphis Italianfest just last weekend. We are building our song catalog and will post performance dates as they are added.

New CD, Thousand Shades of Gray is finished. Copies sent to CDBaby waiting for their final touches to be available on the website. In a few weeks, should also be available on i-tunes and some other digital download services.
The new CD has eleven original tunes, written or co-written by Rice Drewry. It was engineered and produced by Jack Holder and mastered by Mark Yoshida at AudioGraphics Masterworks in Memphis, Tn. More info to come.

The new CD is in the final mixing stages, then to be mastered and duplicated. It's been a long time coming, but should be worth the wait. The title will be "Thousand Shades of Gray" and will feature 11 new tracks.

Just finished a fun show benefitting Madonna Circle and there sponsored charities. The group,
"R & D Blended", includes myself, Donna Staub, Randy Workman, David Bodkin and Sam Carson. We were joined by violinist Donna Wolf, who added a lot to the mix. While this group may play mostly cover tunes, we were able to toss in a few original songs as well. We are currently looking for other venue opportunities for this band, so stay tuned.

Well, Christmas has come and gone and no CD yet!
But it is still coming soon.

Had a great time at the P&H Cafe last night. Randy Workman (percussion), David Bodkin (bass), Donna Staub (backing and lead vocals) and a special guest appearance by Donna Wolf (violin) made for a memorable evening.

I've been hard at work on a new CD that should be coming out soon. It will have eleven original tracks, most of which have been part of my live shows for the past year. Keep checking back. It may be ready in time for Christmas!

On 3/31/07, Rice Drewry will be one of 3 or 4 memphis songwriter association members to play a 30 minute set opening for renowned local artist, John Kilzer. John is an amazing songwriter and performer. Show starts at 7pm with John taking the stage at 9pm. $5 cover. Don't miss it!

Rice will be playing about an hour to 1 1/2 hour set at the March 2007 version of the Alley Cat Soiree at Memphis Original's (MO's) in Memphis, TN on Walker St just off of HIghland Ave. Will be unveiling at least one new tune, several other original songs as well as a cover or two. BYOB with $2 uncorking fee.

Rice and Friends will play for opening night gala for Madonna Circle at the Agricenter International in Cordaova, TN . It is open to the public with the purchase of a benefit ticket. It's great to be of service!

Had a great time getting together with Mr. Bryan Hayes and Shannon Cooke to play a songwriter round at KUDZU's for a Halloween bash get-together. Next year, Bryan and I will have to coordinate our costumes a little better since we both came as "Tom Petty".

Great fun was had by all at the Cockeyed Camel CD release event and Tumblin' Sneakers gig on April 8th. Thanks to everyone who came out and supported me and the other bandmembers. Stay tuned for future news.

Interview on Memphis radio station, WQOX, FM88.5 today from 2 to 3pm. Co-hosts Bob Holden and Joe Pusateri graciously played cuts from the new CD, "When You Smile". Had a great time!

Just picked up the CD Master today! Mastered by Brad Blackwood of Euphonic Masters in Memphis, TN. Great job, Brad! Next, is duplication. Should have final product available by Valentines Day.
